Emma Watson As Disney Princess Belle In ‘Beauty And The Beast’
The Disney fans were ecstatic for their all time favourite fairy tale Beauty and the Beast opening and where treated to a first look at the new musical live action movie at Disney’s D23 fan celebration on Saturday, 15 August 2015.
The Walt Disney Studios showcased more than just Lucas film and Marvel Studios at D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The studio’s many other notable upcoming live-action projects were presented there.
Emma Watson is the belle of the ball in Walt Disney Studios’. The “Harry Potter” star made her official debut as the bookish Disney Princess when the studio debuted the first look at the film in their official sizzle reel.
The opening act was of Belle waltzing onto the screen in her iconic yellow gown, down the staircase and into the Beast’s heart. Of course, this isn’t Watson’s first time making a grand entrance…
This movie is directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”), “Beauty and the Beast” brings the classic fairy tale to life with new music from Disney favorites Alan Menken and Sir Tim Rice.
Watson will be joined by Dan Stevens as Beast, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere the candlestick, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth the clock, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, among the rest of the amazingly star-studded cast, which includes a delightful new character named Cadenza the grand piano, voiced by Stanley Tucci. In a video message featuring Emma Watson, her costars, Evans and Gad, sang a few bars from “Gaston.”
“Beauty and the Beast” will officially release in theaters in 3D on March 17th, 2017.
