Ishq Subhan Allah actor Adnan Khan explains the significance of the 27th roza in the holy month of Ramazan
TV actor Adnan Khan had won many hearts as Kabeer Ahmed in Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah. In the show, he played the role of a Mawlawi, a young intelligent, scholarly, yet traditionally bound traditionally bound person. Despite, the ongoing crisis on account of coronavirus pandemic, Muslims all around the world and our country are observing roza during the holy month of Ramazan. Today, is the 27th day of the holy month of Ramadan and it has a special significance. Apart from fasting, people also stay awake the entire night of 26th day until dawn and pray to god.
While talking to a leading daily, Adnan told about it importance. He shared “All the prayers are said to be answered on this auspicious day. One can ask for any wishes, desires or forgiveness. On this auspicious day, the holy book of Quran was brought into the world. Prior to this, the world was quite chaotic and unorganised which changed entirely after the Quran came into the lives of Muslims”
“My mother says a very funny line but it still gives me goosebumps, she says 27th roza is the day when a person’s fate can be changed,” added the actor.
Talking about following Ramadan during lockdown, he said “Celebrating Ramzan in lockdown sadly means I won’t be with my friends and family, but we aren’t letting that get in the way of our beloved iftaars. The evening (post iftaar) is such a memorable time for us because that’s when we could all get together and hang out. So not having that this year will be a new challenge and something that will most certainly be missed”.
