Hina Khan plays a blind girl in her first-ever Indo-Hollywood film

Hina Khan who has is considered among the top Indian television actresses. From her iconic role as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to hogging the limelight in Bigg Boss 11; from essaying a negative role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay to making her debut at the red carpet of 72nd Cannes Film Festival, the actress has come a long way and there is nothing stop her.

And now, Hina is all set to be seen in her first-ever Indo-Hollywood film, Country Of Blind which is based on a book by HG Wells, The Country Of The Blind. Hina will essay the role of a visually challenged girl in the film. The movie is shot in both English and Hindi. The movie is produced by Rahat Kazmi Films and Tariq Khan Productions, Co-Production of Hiro’s Faar Better Films & Turn Key Films (USA). It will be released first in the US and then in India.

It is reported that Hina attended a blind school workshop and she shared that it was a big learning experience for her. She said “Eyes are our window to the world, but I also feel that when God takes away something, he blesses you with many other things. These individuals are capable of achieving so much more than others.”

Recently, in an interview, while talking about her shift from TV to films, she shared that most girls, who want to become film actresses, look for roles in commercial movies but every actress can’t wait forever to land a role opposite a big Bollywood actor. She also went on to highlight how it is important to be part of a film that has scope for one to perform and added how that is the reason she chose to debut with Lines (Bollywood film) and is now onto her debut American film The Country of The Blind.
