Today’s (13.030.2015) Star Plus Masterchef India 4 episode starts with Judges Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar introduce today’s challenge where the four contestants Ashish, Nikita, Vijay and Minu have to cook with either of the two ingredients Watermelon or Lemon and invent a dish to save themselves from Aakhri Daav (final elimination round).
All four contestants choose watermelon. Judges are surprised and chef Sanjeev Kapoor and other contestants tell that given a chance they would have chosen Lemon.
Contestants are given 90 mins to invent a dish and make watermelon the hero of their dish.
Nikita picks ingredients like pudina, adrak and thinks of making uttappams (pancakes) with sauce and stir fry using all the elements of watermelon.
Minu picks up achari ingridents for her dish and thinks of making a soup and hummus with watermelon.
Ashish thinks of making Rasgulla with water melon and chocolate coated watermelon in a cone.
Vjiya think of making Mattahri using watermelon served with watermelon flavoured sabzi.
Ashish has to drop the idea of making watermelon rasgullas as he fails in his trail and thinks of something else.
Chef Vikas checks with Nikita as she is feeling very low after yesterday’s failure, she gets emotional after remembering about her elder sister.
Minu’s chole for Humuus get burnt and Chef Ranveer Brar suggests her to think of something else, but she still uses the same boiled burnt chana for hummus
Last minutes, contestants gear up for the plating of their dishes and Nikita seems confused with her plating.
Judges start tasting with Minu’s dish who makes a Tarbuz platter with a soup, crumble, khatta meeta achar and Hummus. Chef Sanjeev points out that the burnt flavour of chana cannot be ignore and her achari watermelon is very nice.
Judges like Ashish’s watermelon Shorba Drink and his chocolate coated watermelon cones, but his cones are not crunchy rather very soft.
Vijya makes Tezid -e-Tarbuz which is watermelon flavoured Matthri served with watermelon bhartaa which is sweet, sour and chilly. Chef Ranveer Brar tells him that his presentation is the best so far and likes the Bharta, but his matthri does not have watermelon flavour in it..
Nikita makes Trabuz ka Tyohar which has Watermelon sabzi served on Utappam. Chef sanjeev kapoor tells her that the sabzi is nice, but Uttapams are not fluffy enough.
Later, Judges declare that Vijay is safe in today’s challenge and Nikta, Minu and Ashish go into Aakhri Daav (Final Elimination Round)
