Namit’s last show Sanjivani 2 had recently wrapped up and he had planned to unwind and spend some quality time with his family. But he got stuck in Mumbai due to he nationwide lockdown.
In an interview with a leading daily, Namit shared about his challenges and meeting his family after a long time. He said “It’s been over a week and 4 cancelled flights, 1 flight not confirmed even after paying for it. I didn’t expect it to be so difficult, especially when it’s already been more than two weeks since the Government allowed the functioning of domestic flights. I finally flew with Air India. I was getting pretty emotional and heavy-hearted every time my flight was getting cancelled. I think everyone should be with their loved ones at the time of this pandemic. I managed pretty well on my own all this time but now I’m thrilled to be back home. Much deserved family time.”
He also spoke about his experience of flying while taking all the precautions amid the Covid-19 crisis. “Once I got to the airport everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. There were proper arrangements for a zero contact check-in and security. At the gate, the airline provided us with basic PPE kits along with a fresh face mask and shield. The flight was on time but was completely full. Unfortunately, I had a middle seat but was totally covered from head to toe,” he said.
