Popular Indian TV actress Sara Khan who is currently seen playing the role of Manjulika in Colors’ ‘Kawach’, is all set to be the first actress to do a TV show in Pakistan.
According to sources, Sara will be seen with Pakistani actor Noor Hasan and the show will be aired on ARY Digital. Sara will be the first Indian TV actress to do a Pakistani show.
Sara who has won the Miss Madhya Pradesh title in 2007 and came into limelight for her role of Sadhna in the serial Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai. She was last seen in & TV’s serial Santoshi Maa.
Bollywood films have been extremely popular among Pakistani audience for long. We have seen quite a few Pakistani stars making their debuts in Bollywood – Fawad Khan, Mawara Hocane, Mahira Khan.
Recently launched, Indian TV Channel Zindagi TV has been showcasing Pakistani serials and Indian audiences are loving every show that Pakistanis are producing and it doesn’t seem to be because of the actors per say, the scripts have fans wanting more. What sets Pakistani dramas apart, according to Indian TV critics, is their fast pace (Pakistani dramas are over in three months, compared to years for Indian shows), more realistic settings (middle-class houses instead of mansions), and, unlike Bollywood-inspired dramas, a lack of singing.
Some of the popular shows that have been well received by the Indian fans include Fawad Khan’s Zindagi Gulzar hai and Humsafar, Maat, Daam among many others.
Sara Khan, will be leaving for Pakistan soon after wrapping up her shoot for ‘Kawach’, which will reportedly be going off-air from August.
