A police case has been filed against Salman Khan, Karan Johar, others in Bihar court
The untimely death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has sparked outsider vs insider debate in Bollywood film industry. The actor was found hanging in his Bandra residence in Mumbai. He was battling depression for the last six years and took the drastic step of ending his life on Sunday, June 14.
Sushant’s tragic death has led many to question the “privileged groups” and “camps” in the industry. Several film personalities, including Kangana Ranaut, Abhinav Kashyap, Prakash Raj and others have opened up on the practice of nepotism in Bollywood.
Now, as per latest reports, in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, a case has been filed against Bollywood biggies Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Ekta Kapoor. Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha has filed a complaint under Sections 306, 109, 504 & 506 of IPC in connection with the actor death in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.
“I have filed a case against 8 people including Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan & Ekta Kapoor under Sections 306, 109, 504 & 506 of IPC in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case in a court in Muzaffarpur, Bihar,” Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha was quoted as saying.
Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has claimed that Sushant lost seven films, which he had signed. “He lost the films in just six months. Why? The film industry’s ruthlessness works on a very different level. And that ruthlessness took the life of one talented person,” Nirupam tweeted.
Following Sushant’s death, several actors including Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Ranvir Shorey have come out to reveal the dark side of the B-Town.
Kangana said that Sushant’s only fault was that he believed the industry when they called him worthless and that he should have remembered what his mother told him.
While appealing to the government to launch a detailed probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap has accused Salman Khan and family of sabotaging his film projects.
Mumbai Police is investigating several angles, including ‘professional rivalry’, that may have prompted the Sushant Singh Rajput to take the extreme step of ending his life.
